Hi there,I just wanted to let you know she has been moved to a different facility and is no longer at North Kansas City Hospital. She is in a long term acute care hospital now. They were pushing her a little too hard in rehab, to the point of exhaustion. We think this is going to be more her speed while she gets stronger.

Dad and I are pleased with the facility so far. They seem better equipped to deal with her at this stage and more attentive. It also helps that the room is a little more cheerful and has more privacy.

She is still making slow progress. She has a lot more movement in her left arm and hand now. Today she could almost reach her forehead without any help. It was pretty exciting for us.

Medically, she is doing fine. The right arm with the blood clot is recovering nicely. She still doesn't have feeling or movement in her right hand. She still has sutures in. They could leave the sutures for another week or so. Hopefully as the swelling continues to subside her right hand will improve. She is also doing well with the therapy. She's done great with all the speech therapy and cognitive tests.

You can try to call the room between 9am and 7:30 pm Central time. Mom can't answer the phone, but Dad will if he's there and in the room. Thank you for all the cards and well wishes. We really appreciate them!
Love,Lara
